Over the weekend, I attended one of the widely-anticipated fashion exhibits this winter at the Brooklyn Museum, exploring
the art of the high-heeled shoe. These heels were not just any heels, these heels, were the most unusual, extravagant, abstract and ornate shoes
I have ever seen. From the colors, the designs, embellishment, they were all looking so fierce and artfully crafted. Throughout the museum,
there were glass cases featuring specially curated selection of shoes made in the 21st century to glamorous stilettos
seen on today’s runways and red carpets.
These shoes were unbelievable works of art. I chuckled a bit after watching the short films presented alongside the.
the exhibition. They featured ladies wearing deadly sharp stilettos and the difficulty they had while walking,
the damage the heels are capable of doing and also the skills some ladies possessed being able to walk in some really high heels.
It was an amazing shoe exhibit covering the bases in terms of 20th century luxury, shift in style, fashion statement and
what the high-heeled shoe has gone through throughout the ages. Keep scrolling for a peek and experience
these artistic wonders.
The heels exhibition featured shoes from designers such as Chanel,
Fendi, Manolo Blahnik, Salvatore Ferragamo,
Mary Poppins, Guiseppe Zanotti, Christian Dior,
Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Louboutin and many more designers.
Here I am observing the works of art and also taking time out for a pic.

Really? Wow! I never even heard of it! (I’ve got loads to learn! Good thing I want to be an engineer and not a fashion designer!) 🙂
