DOUBLE DENIM

One of the biggest fashion trends out there is denim on denim, a classic American wardrobe staple love by everyone.
It’s often referred to as a Canadian Tuxedo.  The key to this trend is not to worry about matching, but allowing
the denim to flow from each other.  Start out by pairing different shades like, lighter shades of denim which
draws attention to the body parts covered while darker washes create a slimming effect.  For many women, the
most flattering way to go is lighter denim top/jacket and darker denim jeans.  Different versions are also
super cool like: different shades of blue, tie-dye, black denim jeans with darker denim shirt,
light denim shirt with distressed jeans and the list goes on and on.

Denim is a neutral when it comes to your closet so you can pair it with anything or to elevate
the outfit you can add a statement heel, a tuxedo blazer or a fabulous red lip.
So I had some fun putting this outfit together for my Sunday afternoon look, the
weather was somewhat ok today.  I paired my favorite loose fitting boyfriend jeans with a similarly toned
long sleeve jacket.  To polish off the denim-on-denim look I add a fuchsia colored pump  to give it that
ever-so-important pop of color, chic and sophistication.  Mixing denim is very exciting and has
infinite possibilities.  So should you or shouldn’t you double up on your denim?  I know am loving the trend.
