I attended a very informative hair event and upon making my exit, I had an obscure view of what seems like a glass structure peering from underneath the Manhattan Bridge. The neighborhood of Dumbo, down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass is a walking tour of amazing beautification and Jane’s Carousel is no exception.
Being the site-seeing addict that I am, I ventured further and situated on the waterfront was this Carousel encased entirely by glass, a very contemporary sculptural piece. My fascination took over and even though I was not appropriately dressed, I had this childlike urge to ride a pony. So the kid in me went and purchase my $2 ticket, hopped onto the pony’s back just to be told heels are not allowed. This was a “laugh-out-loud” moment. Anyway, the sweetheart of attendant took one look at my kitten heels then gave me a satisfactory “go ahead”.
Believe it or not, it was my first pony ride and I was enjoying it, I even felt more comfortable after seeing other adults taking pony rides…hahaha!!!
Sorry to switch gears here but who did some Lilly Pulitzer for Target shopping early Sunday morning? Hope you guys marked your calendars as I mention the Target collaboration earlier this year in THIS POST. All in all, my weekend was fabulous and am looking forward to a great week as well.
