Ever since Spring I’ve been keeping an eye out for anything floral and still is as I want to
incorporate more floral pattern clothing in my wardrobe. Recently, I tried on a pair of
floral pants and it reminded me so much of pajamas….lol. I was beginning to lose hope
that I won’t find one that I like until I happen upon this Zac and Rachel slim ankle pants
at Marshalls, it was right up my alley with a price tag of $19.99 that I couldn’t resist.
Normally, we reserve all excitement for out tops. Our blouse does all the work and the
pants have no fun..lol. Now is the time to mix it up, try different patterns, colors and
tribal print. I love feminine patterns like flowers, animal prints, paisleys, bright green,
blue and pink colors. To keep my floral pants the focal point, I went for a chic preppy
look keeping the colors light on the top by pairing it with a baby pink blazer and button
down shirt, with black and gold accessories.
Here are five ways to wear floral pants:
Bring out the sheer top, pair it with a dominantly white floral pants,
adding gold/neon accessories to accentuate the look.
For an electric blue floral pant you can never go wrong with a tweed jacket,
a plain top and accessorize with chunky jeweled necklace, a studded clutch
and pointy toe shoes.
Bring out the youth in you by pairing your floral pants with a sweetheart
neckline peplum top, a sharp structured blazer, some sunnies, then pile
on some gold jewelry to inject a bit more maturity into the outfit.
For a more fresh floral approach, reach for an oversized cardigan. Pick
any one color from the pattern of the pants, it absolutely delivers well
by keeping the floral colors grounded.
During the chilly season you can layer your floral pants starting with a
white collared shirt, adding a sweater with a color preferably from
the pattern of the pants.
A patterned pants is a statement piece, so be bold and do what works for you
so that you’ll be able to pull off the pants with confidence.
